I've potted a couple of bulbs up in a relatively dry free-draining compost. I was hoping that they'd store for a couple of weeks before I gave them a water and bought them back to life. My thoughts were that they'd sprout and flower in less than a month, as I had read on the internet, and by delaying the watering I could get them to flower slightly later. Basically they are now emerging without watering.

My question is how long do they take to grow and flower? any other advice on them much appreciated?

My variety is 'festalis'. Many thanks,
