  • Monkshood

I've raised a fair crop of Monkshood from seed but I'm at a loss as to where to put all my plants.

I grew them to plant by the road (as they'r hardy, native and well suited to where I want to plant) but....

Every now and then local farmers drive sheep past my house.

Should I be worried about greedy sheep eating them

It might be a bit of a worry insofar as every part of the monkshood plant is poisenous.

I think the sheep may be a bit more intelligent than to eat the plants, but better safe than sorry.

Make sure children can't get at them too. Younger children are notorious for putting stuff in their mouths.

      PS - it's a gorgous plant though, isn't it?
