  • Euphorbia cuttings...unsure

    Hi all,
i recently took a few euphorbia cuttings and put them in potting compost, and then covered them with polythene bags. I'm not really sure what to do next Does anybody know, when to take the polythene bags off them, and when i know they are growing properley, and also when to plant out? i took the cuttings about two or three weeks ago.
    Thanks x

Not sure of the timing with euphorbias, but with most cuttings I give them 4-6 weeks before I take the bag off and see what has rooted. Take the bag off in stages so they get used to less and less humidity too, that seems to help.

      cuttings

just having a look at my propagating book and for euphorbia it says-basal cuttings april to may, root 8cm shoots in peat and sand in cold frame and plant out when well rooted. you should seal stem with a quick pass through a flame to stop the milky sap escaping and wear gloves as its an irritant. or stem cuttings late summer
