  • tips of lavender bushes yellowing

    Hello,

Does anyone have any idea why the tips of some of my lavender bushes (3 in a row about a foot apart) are going yellow? the rest of the lavenders look to be in fine health so I'm not sure what is going on? the garden was under concrete (and asphalt in places) until about this time last year so I know the soil is far from stunning very clayey and limey (which I think it's mostly made of old daub from when some other houses were knocked down) with lots of bits of flint and concrete and sand from under a patio and god knows what so if everything was failing I wouldn't be utterly surprised but with alot of compost etc added the rest of the garden seems to be coming along nicely so I figure that these 3 lavender bushes (planted last year) must be getting afflicted with or lacking something specific.. any suggestions?

    Many thanks,

    Becca

They're probably settling in, but give a nitrogen feed. Your soil should be fine. I suspect that if the problem continues, that it is a lavender-specific disease.
