Peonies take a long time to establish and also resent being moved. Are the new ones in the same border as the existing one?

      Hello Rusty Lady
Yes the peonies are in the same boarder as the original plant i wasnt sure if i needed to feed them or maybe the soil needed something adding it is a sunny sheltered cornish garden .

They are also rather fussy about the depth they are planted at. I have one peony in the garden and it grew leaves every year but never flowered until a few years ago the council had to repair the sewer in that area. They must have done something right as it has flowered every year since and this year is loaded with buds.
