Rose type flower

Some months ago on QVC, Richard Jackson was showing us a beautiful flower, it looked like a
rose bud really stunning. I'm sure he said it would be sent from T&M. I have looked on the website and found nothing. I'm sure he called it a 'china' rose or 'japanese' rose. Saw some in a bouquet the other day and rekindled my interest. Anyone have any ideas. Been onto QVC and it's not on there either.

Its japanese rose, I think they are otherwise known as Lisianthus or Eustoma I bought some seeds from T&M, think several companys sell plants in about may/june.

Lisianthus is often available as a cut flower from florists. It's really pretty - I wouldn't have recognised it from the previous postings but the name gave it away - it's one my flower arranging tutor uses often. It is really very rose like and a striking flower. Whenever she buys them we all ooooh and ahhh!

I love it - it was my wedding flower. Funnily enough though the lady who made my cake found them too hard to make in sugar art (despite over 50 years experience) so I ended up with sweet peas (consisting of over 300 flowers but she had to make 600 as her dog ate the first lot!) which I still have in a display cupboard.

oh lisianthis are a nightmare to grow from seed - just to warn you. I tried and failed, they need really hot conditions I think.
