    Can any help me?
I want to plant alliums in my garden, but a lot of sites say they will take years to grow, is this from seed or does it also apply if i bought bulbs?

You can buy bulbs that will flower the first year after planting. They are very easy plants to please, but they do want a well drained soil and appreciate being in the sun. Make sure you plant the bulbs fairly deep - three or four times the size of the bulb.

I bought a few bulbs of all sizes and they have spread like mad over the past couple of years - theyre my real favourites, and the seedheads also look good long after the floweres are over - even when the frost has come...

That mirror offer looks too good to miss.

When should they be planted? Alliums that is.

So ordering them now would be too early surely? How would you store them?

They usually ship them in good time for planting out - store them in the shed/garage/somewhere cool.

                          Cool - ordered.

I'll have to keep them under the stairs, no garage and my shed is like a sauna!

Thanks for posting that Hans Mum!
