I have just dug up a clump of something & I haven't a clue what it is...! But it was in the way!
It is in large clumps, and has long yellow-green (rather than dark green) tongue shaped leaves which grow straight out of the ground, not off a central stem; and really long straight tubular ORANGE roots, if you snap them they are bright orange inside (they look a bit like ood faces if that helps!) - these are an absolute bugger to dig up!
I don't recall seeing it flower this year so can't identify it - can anyone help?
