    It is a very strange flowering scrub that is living at Waterperry - not even teacher knows what it be?

    Although it looks like a mad encounter between a blackberry and lilac,I think it may be "pokeweed"(or in your teachers language phytolaccaceae)
    (just don't ask how the hell I knew???Will admit to looking up the latin~not quite that brainy!!)BTW~I stand to be corrected if it's not!!

        looks like this to me, particularly the berries.
        Asiatic pokeweed (Phytolacca acinosa Roxburgh)

        I would say its definately a pokeweed even if not the asiatic one.
        Not that I KNEW what it was I just googled images based on andi&di's suggestion.
