  • small perennials arrived - plant out or keep in greenhouse for winter?

    hi,

i've just bought some perennials - primula vialli (in small plugs) and various phlox (in small pots) - and would like to know if I should plant these out now or keep them in the greenhouse until spring next year?

I have searched around and not found any helpful advice - the plants themselves come with a nice leaflet but don't actually tell you what to do with them now!

    kind regards,

    Nick

I've grown primula vialli before and have found it quite tender (no longer have any in the garden as all 5 have died over the last few years!), I'd suggest greenhouse!

Primula Vialli is supposed to be fully hardy, so plant it out while the soil is still warmish.

        Phlox is also hardy.

(use Google: I got loads of info on these plants)
