  • Greenfly on hellebores

My hellebores are covered in greenfly or soon to be greenfly. I had been hoping a ladybird might come and feast but no sign. I don’t have spray and would prefer not to use that anyway. Just had a go at washing them off with a watering can but didn’t seem to do much. Any suggestions of what I could do. The plants are looking healthy enough but I see that the wee pests are now also on my tulips so would like to stop them spreading.

Squeeze them with your thumb or use soapy water in a spray if you have one.

Might try the soapy spray. Think I’d be there forever trying to squeeze them! Thanks
