  • What do you plan on sowing from now to end of year?

Similar to my post in the veg section. What flower seeds will you be sowing from now to the end of the year for flowers next year?
I have lots of seeds for sowing next year but are there flowers which should be sown or do better when sown in Autumn?

I mostly grow native wild flowers, so I am now just beginning to save seeds to put in places I want for next year, mostly Red Poppies at the moment along with a few Yellow Welsh ones, Foxgloves and Ox eyed Daisies won't be far away, I don't bother raising them in trays and just broadcast the seed directly where I want them. My bog plants like the Ragged Robin will be left to it's own devices this year as it's the first year of flowering, maybe try getting seed next year. I do grow the mop head Aquilegia and I do collect seed as well as let them self set, but again, I just broadcast them.

Thanks Burnie, I am gradually letting more of my garden go wild. I've got some Birdsfoot Trefoil, Crimson Clover and Phacelia seeds that I'm going to use as green manures but also thought I'd throw some around in my wild part too.

Earlier on in the year I picked up a packet of primula aricula.
I am sowing these tomorrow, nearly forgot about them.
I haven't grown them before but always wanted to try them..

And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
