  • Zinnia wilt.

I grew Zinnias this year. Purple Prince and Giant Red some smaller mixed varieties too. All from seed.
Some remained very healthy.. However others would be fine one day and the next the whole plant had wilted. No sign of mildew or bugs.
Kept watered but not over watered. So that’s not the issue. I’m really stumped on this one .
Does anyone have any advice or has this happened to others ?

What were the roots like? It could be cutworm. They are moth caterpillars that live just under the soil and will chew roots and the base of stems.

    Endless wonder.
