Money tree

One of our money trees is flowering, now we have had this happen before, but we've never got any fruit, will we get £5 notes or £10 ones?

Just having a money tree is pretty impressive where you live, Burnie, seeing as it's a tropical wetland tree. Wetland, I can imagine. But tropical? It must be worth a fair bit itself. Either that, or you're generous on the heating. More so than me, anyway.

I had one many years ago, but I was always skint at the time so I presume mine didn't give money but sucked it in when I wasn't paying attention. I can't remember if I gave it away or killed it.

I have got one that I have had since the 1970s.
It produced one or two flowers about 25 years ago and is now becoming hollow like an old oak tree.

It sits in a pot in the conservatory this time of year, but spends the summer outside, seems to thrive on neglect if I'm honest.

Mine flowered for the first time about this time last year, no signs of it happening this year though and like you, only flowers, no fruit

Ah, yes.
Mine flower most years. The key seems to be abject neglect. They are in pots about a quarter the size of the top growth, I haven't ever fed them, and I water them probably about six times a year at most.

I have a large jade tree - no flowers, no dosh but it is covered in baubles and Christmas lights!
