  • Plant ID - Mystery allium

Help - I'm trying to id this allium that grows in my front garden.

Smells strongly of garlic (edible, I've used it like chives, snipped on buttered bread).
The leaves are relatively narrow, about 5mm wide and maybe 15cm long, with a crease in the middle. Clusters of white flowers, flowers late April/early May. Grows over winter, the leaves are now starting to die down.

My original guess was few flowered leek, but the flowers don't quite look right.

I read about garlic and other spring bulbs over winter and into the period of dry weather.
That made it easy to help you.
