Agree. They are beautiful.

Tamarisk. First time it's really flowered.
It's on the end wall of the garden, which is 2m high and comprises randomly dumped granite bolders the size of fridges. Exposed to full force of wind.
Tamarisk has to be looked after for first few years in such difficult situations until its taproot finds water then boom - it's off.
I live in a part of the UK with very mild winters. Please take this into account before thinking "if he is sowing those now...."
