Oh I can see webbing on it,like spider mite when I zoom in? I’ll just investigate…….

Edit - there was a tiny (normal) spider web amongst the plant,I potted it on,rinsed the plant under the tap gently just incase,I think it’s ok though,I didn’t see any tiny spider mite dots on the web

The eryngium big blue are really starting to come through. It’s a stunning plant and very happy in my hot and sunny front garden. Incredibly sharp though as I discovered when I bought it a few years ago at Gardening Scotland and spent all jag being jabbed by it.

I have something a bit like that that self seeded.
Do you think it is likely to turn blue?

That looks more like echinops to me. So likely to go a blue/purple colour

It almost got pulled up as a thistle or cardoon. Cardoons self seed all over the place so are pulled except where they are wanted.

My first ever “on purpose” poppy. All the others are self seeded Shirley types but this is from an out of date packet of seed I scattered more in hope than expectation. Very pleased with the result.
