What the hell!

Something has broken my sunflowers. Both the dwarf ones that were nearly flowering have been completely broken off. The taller ones were bent over but hadn’t broken as they had been staked. Have tried to repair but not sure the6 will survive though. The flower head on at least one has actually gone and the stalk has been chewed. Am gutted have to say. Could squirrels have done this? Can’t think it was a fox.

My guess would be young foxes, rampaging about and chomping anything out of fun and curiosity.
