Aaaaand yet another recently bought nursery plant is heading for the grave, getting smaller and smaller. This Geum coccineum 'Koi' has been kept in a cold greenhouse over winter. The leaves are getting smaller (the other plant having died) so I have no idea yet again why plants do this for me, especially hardy geranium types.

Obviously nobody knows. Since this photo it has pretty much died. I have just got to accept that pretty much any plant I buy is destined for failure, despite adhering to the label advice. The roots look pretty black and rubbery so I have re-potted in mole hill soil and some mycorrhizal Fungi in a last ditch effort.Last edited by Marb67; 25-02-2023, 01:28 PM.

I think it has completely died. Another plant to add to the failure list. I think I will just not buy plants anymore and grow from seed as I have wasted ££££s. Geraniums are supposed to be hardy for goodness sake. How on earth has this happened ?
