  • Moving Lilys.

I have lots of lilys which have been growing in large containers for the past five years.
I want to plant them out into the garden to get rid of some containers. Any idea as to the best time to do this.?

The usual time is autumn….end Sept/ early Oct .
I’d be tempted to take a decent clump of soil around the root ball too having watered the new hole first.
Plant them at the same depth as in the tub.
Do they need dividing? That would be a good time to gently split the clump
