  • Year of the blind flowers

Well, I just can't believe how many of my plants this year have come up blind

    Cosmos
    Crocosmia
    Evening Primrose
    Daffodil
    Helotrope
    Stocks

Anyone else finding this? Or perhaps it's just me again 😞

Not enough potassium in their feed?….ie N:P:K was more in favour of the N and P?
    What were you feeding them?

I bought 2 Agapanthus from BnM earlier in the year and although they were in good leaf they've not produced any flowers but I am quite sure if they survive what is in store this winter they will flower next year.

the fbb is high in nitrogen….I always thought it was mostly for use on non flowering plants/ veggies? Could be wrong…..

I never feed my daffs, crocus, primrose & others, they’re in the soil. When the leaves die down that feeds the bulb, don’t cut the leaves or the flowers to give them the chance of flowering the following year. Bulbs can get overcrowded,I had to divide some crocus last year, there were so many bulbs in a small space they weren’t flowering, they were just loads of leaves, dig up the clump & separated into several small clumps & replanted.
