This bulb was in a pot, but the leaves just withered and turned brown. I want to reuse the pot. Is this worth salvaging?. There is a new shoot on it. Sorry don't know what it is.
It looks like a crocus.
The old bulb withers away over the summer to be replaced by a new one that forms above that just drops into place.
Just plant it and wait until next spring.
