  • Androsace dead already

Well, yet another newly bought plant in the last month that has crossed the threshold of my garden and now completely dead. Why oh why does this happen with most new plants I purchase? I just lifted the pot to I spect the plant and the whole stem has come away.

Now I havemt reported it or anything as its in the pot I purchased it from a reputable nursery.

Is there any way I can salvage this or seed? As it was lovely in flower. Absolutely gutted as this has happened for no logical reason.

Marb, It looks like it's been eaten at the roots.
Did you check the soil for mealy bugs, white maggots, buried under the roots.?

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

No, as it was purchased from a Nursery I didn't think it would have any pests in the soil.
