  • Penstemon

I have a blue Penstemon in a large pot. It's flowering well, but is very straggly - should I cut it back or the it up somehow? I have a feeling it's too early to take cuttings?

I would say either. I tend to lose penstemon so not sure how it will grow back. But if you did cut it are they viable as cutting material, you could try. Usually late summer for cuttings (whatever summer that is)

Thanks CG, there's loads of cutting material, but loads of flowers too, so I've deadheaded and propped it up a bit to see how it progresses.
