Now reason as they are still in their original pot and compost but countless plants just die.     I sowed, pricked out and eventually planted out a lot of carthamus. The slugs and snails got the lot!

      I planted out (into the soil) about thirty ‘foxy’ foxgloves that should flower in the first year but they’re just leaves all summer,I wonder they might flower next year,I might give them some BFB for the winter….
      When buying a plant I think you should pot them on into a bigger pot when it’s home,I wouldn’t keep it in the original pot it won’t be able to grow,the roots need to travel further for more growth. Chrysanthemums need about 30cm (12”) between plants.
