  • Hyacinth flowers dying

Well even this easy to grow plant is failing with seemingly healthy flowers drying up and dying. The soil is kept hydrated and yet they are withering. This plant flowered so well in Spring when purchased. 😞

They do better in the soil the following year. Hyacinths are usually forced/kept in the dark for earlier flowering in their first year, this takes a lot of energy from the bulbs so the following year the flowers aren’t as big. When they’ve finished I’d plant them in the soil, then the following year they may have flowers or smaller flowers at least.

I guess it’s not happy at trying to flower twice in a matter of months too.
The leaves look healthy. Did you feed it after it had flowered in the Spring?
