I pulled some out of a tub at the end of the year before some frost, not expecting anything but they have started to shoot. Should I prune them back a bit ? I didn't when I pulled them out.

Geranium -trailing

Every year I try to keep all my pots of annual flowers alive. I leave them in their summer pots against a south facing wall, covering with multiple layers of fleece when it is sub zero. I don't cut anything back until around mid April at the earliest. I'm not always successful with everything, but lots do make it. I used to keep them in an unheated greenhouse with fleece, but found they do better against the wall with fleece. I then re pot all the survivors into fresh compost for the growing season. Good luck with your trailing geranium!Last edited by peanut; Yesterday, 03:33 PM.Nestled somewhere in the Cambridgeshire Fens. Good soil, strong winds and 4 Giant Puffballs!
