I was gonna buy some partly grown ones in Wilkies but wasn't sure how long they take to grow, was interested in climbing ones also....I thought probably about one year, though it would be nice to see them flowing by mid summer.

They are all pruned down in Spring and will flower every summer. It's useful to prune them again either in Autumn if you're in a windy area or in Spring otherwise, to get the maximum new shoots and flowers. They'll grow and flower this season. Enjoy them!Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

Oh great, thanks very much! I think I may start to get a rather mad addiction to roses just like I have chillies!Follow my garden and chilli growing project... @impatientgrower

i bought a bare root climber last year to cover my ugly shed. It grew to about four foot and flowered well. I've left it without pruning and it's looking good, it's kept its leaves as well...............hopefully it will put on another four foot of growth this year!My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order
to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)
