Which was do I plant my begoia's?

They did not come with any instructions so I have no idea what way to put them in the pot. I did read something about there being a slight dip in the middle of them, this dip has to face upwards? Also I have another which has me a little more confused. If you look at this picture below there doesn't seem to be a dip in it, I am not sure if it is a root or what?

Also with bulbs that are shaped like tear drops, does the fat end go in to the ground with the thinner tip pointing up?

Planting begonia tubers in march
Plant tubers now in trays of moist compost, barely covering the top. Study the tubers carefully before planting and you will notice that they are convex on one side and concave on the other. The concave side should be uppermost in the pot. Keep them in a warm, bright position, watering when the compost dries out. Pot each one up individually when shoots are 5cm to 7.5cm (2in to 3in) long. Plant out when danger of frost has gone

it looks like you plant it that was round. the lump on top will probably break off to reveal the hollow. plant it up as described above and see what happens

and yes the wide part goes at the bottom. only exception are lily bulbs which go on their sides

Which I had read this before putting my tubers into my troughs outside. I had a furtle in one the other day and could not even find the 2 tubers I planted
