digital cameras have come down in price so much these days, just point and shoot easy as that
I have got a digital camera but using it is a different matter. For instance years ago, in the stone age, I had bought a video camera and thougt I'd try it out but couldn't see a thing, so gave up. Only to find when I put the tape in and played it that my eye was on film the whole time as I had it round the wrong way :eek

Anyway I may still have a go and you can laugh at the pictures

              Hi Muslimgrower,
Your plants look as though they're coming on nicely! I've got Passiflora caerulea & it does produce fruits & you can eat them but they're not particularly tasy & sometimes don't have much inside them. It is hardy outdoors, I've had one growing over a trellis by the back door for years & it can be quite rampant, sometimes I have to hack my way out down the garden! It's looking very 'dead' at the moment though because of all the snow & cold weather but usually if I prune it back a bit it starts into growth again. Here's a couple of pics. of some of the fruits I've had on mine.

I planted one last summer, and i have to be honest, it's RAMPANT, must have just got the situation right for it, it is growing up the arch that is over the greenhouse ( don't ask)

mine has survived the winter no problem, and has new growth on it as i type, i am hoping for glorious things from it this year. its all ready at the top of the arch and now threading itself into the hedging.

I planted one in the mother in laws garden, in really poor soil. It didn't really grow alot . I cut it right down last weekend, as it has been battered by the wind, do you think it will regrow? Its got no leaves at the moment

I cut might right down the year before last in order to move it and it came back with a vengeance last year, so I think you'll be okay. I think they can take quite a harsh pruning but I may be corrected!

I am so greatfull for this thread as a kindly grape has just sent me some seeds. I don't know which type but it doesn't matter, they are all very pretty. I will grow some for myself and for a friend. I am assuming that I can start off the seeds now; keep them at 20 degrees for 8 weeks and then pot on Mr Muslimgrower ?

                        ^ yes sir.

i potted them on in 3 inch seedling pots and i will move them into bigger containers as it grows, maybe in mid may ill will plant one in the ground and grow one in a 99 pence B&Q bucket, just drill some holes in the bucket and you are ready to go.. i hate spending money on plastic pots, they are expensive, so i just use buckets for all my containers, i have around 30 buckets, i usually buy the black buckets as it absorbs light and heat better than lighter colours like the orange buckets they also sell....

it says 8 weeks on the back of the seed packet, but i had all germinate well within 2 weeks, 2 of them popped out after 8 days...

                          Hiya everyone..

its a beautiful sunny chilly day... just an update on the passion flower seedlings , they are doing really well one of them is shooting up tendrils with a little hook on the end of it, trying to grab onto something, after all it is a climber ( awwww)

the passion seedling has doubled in size, i left a few of them at the window sill and the tendrils are just everywhere, its looking for something to grab onto while it climbs

a pic for you later on

You are brave Muslimgrower. I started off with one passionflower that grows up
through and covers an approx. 30ft conifer to add summer interest. I now have oodles of its offspring popping up all over the place. I carefully dig the seedlings up and give them to anyone who will take them. I have to say that it is so easy to grow, has a gorgeous flower but be wary that it is so rampant!

Oh no!!! My seeds went to mould :-( I think because I put them on the compost and covered the pots with clingfilm. I have got some more - I'll leave them 'open' this time.
