  • tall fuschia

    HI

    I planted a tall fuschia last year, it's about 3ft tall, and i have no idea what to do with it now. Do i cut it back on the main stem? help!

    Can you post a pic of it Claire, what variety is it?

      Could it be Lady Boothby? This one was featured as a climbing fushia last year but I remember Two Sheds saying that it wasn't in fact a climber as it didn't have any tendrils.
      Could possibly be mistaken but remember a thread on the subject as I was looking at them at the time and then didn't bother.

        I grew Lady Boothby last year i grew it in the corner of a sweetpea rack and it grew to 6or 7 foot high i started with a cutting with 4 shoot's 3 went straight up and 1 went sideway's i was pleasantly surprised how well it did and was flowering almost up to christmas .

          thanks for replies
          camera has broken! so can't take a picture. But spoke to my nan today who grows everything. she says to cut it off to about a foot above the stem in a few weeks

            Most of them shoot from the ground not sure about the one you have though.
