One of my favourites is alstroemeria - it grows from a rhizome, and it sends out new shoots all the time so any tatty ones can be cut off. The cut flowers are great, and last ages in a vase. Florists use them frequently.
You can get various heighted ones, depending on the cultivar.Comment
