Hi IgglePiggle
I have always used tomato food on my flowers whether in pots or in the ground so long as they are in flower. Gave some to my potted pansies about 3 weeks ago and they have loved it, they have grown bigger than I have ever seen. My sunflowers enjoyed it last year too, especially after they had flowered and died, I simply cut the head off to dry out and many more flowers appeared
