Actually, I sowed all the seeds that I saved from last year's plants, thinking I might get 50% germination if I was lucky.

I don't remember sowing them all, but I must have ... I've got 100 in the ground, and just counted another 4 trays hiding around the corner behind the wheely bins

I sowed a whole packet of sweet peas I got free from Kings , I also sowed my own sweet peas I had collected from pods last year.
The Kings have germinated 3 plants ( rubbish ) and I'm overun with the ones from my seed - not too worried though as they were a fragrant variety lovely !

Lucky you TS! I love sweetpeas (my wedding bouquet was a large bunch of old fragrant ones)

I sowed three different types in January (didn't grow any last year). They are coming on well and I have about 60 plants to put out. Hoping to put them in grow bags and grow them over the original chook ark that Madmax built - around four-and-a-half foot high.

As I am growing Spencer Mixed, Dwarf Mixed and Old Fashioned Mixed will it be okay to save seeds from these or will the different varieties mean I will get weird results?

By the way TS - the crimson broad beans you sent me are sprouting now - I want to keep seeds from them for next year so do I need to keep them away from other broad beans to do that?

Pack them in together when planting, members of the pea and bean family can cope.

Now you need to get a few more vases in.

Mine are at home, while the white flowered ones are on lotty

Cheers, will 25 feet apart be enough? If so, the crimson ones can go in a bucket on the patio and the sutton can go in the garden plot.

I don't remember this or that,and at the end of the day it wasn't me
I have just 2 varieties-pale pink and pale lilac-might plant them today and cover up with the cling film-not taking any chances with so many birds around
