OH planted 2 Peonie bulbs back on 10/3 and nothing is showing yet. Is this normal or have we got a failure-to-launch?

Don't give up on them just yet! I planted a peony bulb in early spring a couple of years ago - saw nothing of it that year and assumed it was a goner. Then, lo and behold, the following year it decided to make an appearance (foliage only unfortunately). It's come back again this year - still doesn't look like it's going to flower but there's more foliage so I'm hopeful for next year...Comment

Peonie's are my personal nemesis Hot Stuff, have tried for years with nothing but a lot of foliage, BUT this year i have had success, and have a plant with one single flower bud, and that alone has made it worth persevering.
Keep trying Hot Stuff, it'll pay off in the end
