I have some Thyme (outdoors) in a 12" diameter pot. I grow it purely for the scent but there is a little space all around the Thyme. It looks a little lonely so perhaps I could place a few small flower types to keep it company. Nothing too large otherwise my Thyme will be obscured and it needs to go in soon, either seed or bought plants. Ideas?

French marigolds - they attract beneficial insects. Violas? You can get lots of 'dwarf' type bedding plants, so it might be best to look around at the garden centre or wherever and see what appeals. You can get dwarf sweet peas, which could trail over the edge of the pot, but might be a wee bit too vigorous?
