  • What to do with spring bulbs?

I moved house last year and I had a load of spring bulbs, mainly tulips and daffs, which I wasn't able to plant out into their final place in the garden so I planted them into pots. after having nice pots of spring bulbs that I was able to move around, I have decided I would like to keep them in pots. The question is what to do with them over the summer? I know I could dig them all up and dry them off and store them in the shed, but could I just leave them in them in their pots and when they have completely died off just stack the pots in the shed until next autumn?

    Cheers

I let some of my spring bulbs in pots die off and then stacked them in the shed last year. They all came up again this year.

Excellent - I was hoping I could do that. Thanks.

I leave the bulbs in my pots, and plant summer bedding on top of them.
Then in spring, the bulbs come back.
