I would say yes........but not in the same place! Wallflowers are a brassica and need to be rotated onto a fresh limed patch each year.My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order
to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)

Mine are starting to look tatty, but I am saving them for seed.
I will soon plant sunflowers in their place, that have been waiting in the wings for a fortnight (everything is behind). All gardeners know better than other gardeners." -- Chinese Proverb.

Do NOT discard your wallflower plants.
Cut off the seeding flower heads and leave them be.
They will give you top banana flowers again next year.
Mine are in their 2nd year flowering nicely still, seeing as they are normally treated as biennials, so will be taking cuttings very shortly.Last edited by Topcat36; 02-06-2009, 09:49 AM.

As a well known tatty gardener - I leave them. I've had wallflowers, originals and self seeded, in amongst my front border for 7 years. I just love the scent. (and I can think of other things to do with the time!)Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.
