What flowers?
You shouldn't feed most annuals, they don't need it, and many prefer a poor soil. If soil is too rich, you will get too much leaf growth at the expense of flowers.
If you have a rose bed, or other perennials, then do use manure. As with any mulch, apply it to wet soil, so it traps the moisture in.Last edited by Two_Sheds; 31-05-2009, 08:27 AM.All gardeners know better than other gardeners." -- Chinese Proverb.
