Yay my sweetpeas have started to flower, my very own grown from seed. Some of them stuggled for a while but they have picked up and look great. Cant wait to pick some for my sister's grave. She always gets the first bunch.

Awwwwww I love pinks.
I started sweet peas off last November in greenhouse (as I had the year before and got wonderful blooms)
Only two survived this year. Others wilted and died.
Any way these two are flowering and I speedily started some more off and planted them out earlier this week. Just hoping the cooler weather doesnt finish them off as well.

Good for you jackie. Mine are only about 1 foot high. They stood still for ages after they were planted but are growing now. Maybe they were too dry. I'm looking forward to getting to the blooms stage - I just love them.

My Dad gave me 12 plants which I planted into a large wooden barrel with cane wig-wam. I cut my very first flowers this weekend. Is it true the more flowers you cut the more they produce?

My sweet peas are going mad now, after a bit of rain. I planted about 100 to cover all our ugly fencing.
Thing is, I can't smell them. I had half my taste buds cut out, and the other half irradiated. All gardeners know better than other gardeners." -- Chinese Proverb.
