My clematis has flowered for a couple of weeks now and the purple flowers were beautiful, i say were!!!

they have now all fallen off and i am left with the inner parts of the flower.

what do i do with it now? i am a bit shocked that the flowers came and went so quickly. will they come back this year or is that it for the year?

    Many thanks

Depends which kind of clematis it is - some have a second flush in late summer, some only flower once a year. Do you know the name of your clematis? The pruning requirements will also depend on which 'group' of clematis it falls into.

      What type of clem?
If it was the rampant (and early) pinky white one (montana), that's your lot for this year.

Otherwise, dead-head the flowers and you should get another flush later on.
