  • Growing ivy from cuttings

I need to cut back a bunch of English ivy and would like to plant it on a berm at the edge of my property, can I just put the cuttings in a bucket of water until they root or should I put them in soil instead?

I did some in soil and they mostly took. Maybe try both to see.

Ivy seems like the sort of thing that would root easily.

I've only done it once and it took ages to get going. I put the cuttings in garden soil and left them outside. When I planted it out, it seemed to go dormant for 2 years then suddenly it just started to grow, then there was no stopping it.
I you'st to have a handle on the world .. but it BROKE!!
