Pruning Euphorbia

Hello. Can anyone help me. I have a Euphorbia in my garden but I'm not sure how far back to prune it. Should I prune it back to ground level or just the bright green fleshy growth. Thanks

I cut the stems that have flowered back to the base of the plant as these die back anyway(E. c. wulfenii)
Do you know what type it is?

and don't forget to cover your skin up when you're cutting as the sap can be an irritant.
