Its a Rose of Sharon. My neighbour gives hers a really hard haircut once its finished flowering (right into the old wood) and it bounces back almost immediately. Hers is about 5ft tall after its haircut, 6-7ft tall at this time of year.Last edited by Pumpkin Becki; 30-06-2009, 12:47 PM.

I've always called all the big ones Rose of Sharon. My mum asked me the same question yesterday when we saw one in a garden in the village.Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.
