I know you'll all help me.
I've got a small patch of ground at the front of my workplace which my boss wants planted up. Its probably 5m x 2m and very exposed, it gets the sun most of the day and the soil looks pretty sandy. The chap who will ultimately look after it is not a gardener by his own admission.
Our company colours are blue and yellow/ orange and i'd like some ideas for flowering hardy shrubs and perrenials that won't mind being pruned. I'd also like it to be a good place for bees. So far I'm thinking...
Rose of Sharon
Hemerocallis
Hebe
Ceanothus
Daffs and crocus for spring
Lavendars to edge the bed
What do you think, and what would you put in?
