ID Please.

This plant self seeded itself in my front garden last year. Up until a few weeks ago it resembled a cabbage and was no more than a few inches tall, then it suddenly sent up a flowering stem that now stands 6ft tall. It's probably just a weed but the flowers are pretty and I just thought id ask because i've never seen anything similar?

I recently bought a pink one - as it only had the latin name on the label I didn't realise I'd spent six quid on a chicory til I got home and looked it up
