  • Grey/white patches on Sweatpea leaves.

    Hi All

I am growing sweetpeas in some old chimney pots by the side of the shed. They get partial sunshine and have pruduced a few flowers which i have picked to keep the flowers coming ( variagated pink, slightly disappointing as verey little scent) but the leaves appear to have grey to white patches and look very unhealthy.

    Any help would be appreciated

Hi, I have noticed this on my sweet peas too, on the patches it looks like there's nothing in that part of the leaf

I think it is due to the wet weather. Don't worry about it and keep cutting your flowers.

It's probably powdery mildew: can be caused by dry conditions around the roots and poor airflow around the plants. To help prevent the spread of this fungal disease, try to avoid wetting the foliage ... water the roots, not the leaves
