  • Moving plants/moving house

We will be moving in 3 weeks and I want to take most of my garden with me. Any suggestions on increasing the rate of survival for plants?

Dig deep, Dig wide and get lots of big buckets and plastic containers - and water in well.

Good advice - I have already started. I have decided to leave the buddlea and eucalyptyus tree! and the grass!

Leaving the eucalyptus is probably a good idea anyway...

You're supposed to leave the plants aren't you? Part of the fixtures and fittings?

You can state on the forms what you are taking, as long as Petal has done this she's ok! But the survival rate this time of year will not be as good as when the plants are dormant. As Zazen says, lots of TLC!

Its a rented house so no worries! When we took it on the back garden was a builders site - we removed wheelbarrows of rubble and worked so hard to make a garden. We will have to work equally hard to remove it all! Then there is the pond........

Hope you've got before and after pictures in case the landlord gets funny about it. Most don't but my daughter has had a couple try to charge her for damage when in fact every property she's lived in was left in better condition than when she moved in.

Leave the grass to grow, always funny when someone falls in a pond
