One of my potted Fuchsias (Mrs Popple) has rapidly developed brown leaves and looks on the verge of death despite being adorned with flowers. The speed this came on and the look of it reminds me of blight (which has just started to hit my tomatoes). So could it be blight ?

Dunno what family fushsias are but have never heard of them with blight.

No, fuchsias don't get blight. probably some pest that you can't see with the naked eye.
Or maybe too much too little water.
i have a good few fuchsias and have to say they are quite temperamental.

Sounds more like rust to me. It is the bain of the fuchsia grower.

P.S. Look at the underside of the leaves, and if they are bright orange, they have rust.

Good cure for rust is green Listerene mouth wash apparently ... told to me by a chap from Stafford Fuchsia society I think it's about 5ml to the gallon ... must have been pretty desperate ... come to think of it what does it do to your mouth
