My parents in law usually have the first open daffs round me and there is usually one about to open by my birthday at the end of this month. However, this year, they don't even have shoots through (could be due to me rearranging their garden borders last year)
Was quite surprised to see bunches of daffs for sale at the local farmers market last Friday. Think they are pretty early
Enjoy - they brighten up the dull days so well!Happy Gardening,

Hi Leona, we've got lots of green leaves on the daffs but no flowers as yet. I've even got tulips coming up in some pots I left at the back of the garden last year & odd ones in the ground. No flowers though except the odd primula, pansy, viburnum & fuchsia.Into every life a little rain must fall.

we have a rose that has been flowering for the last 2 months. most of the petals have come off in the wind of the last couple of days but still. there is also a bush type rose in the garden that hasnt stopped flowering since early summer. ive got bulbs up everywhere, many over 5-6 inches tall. some hyacynths have come up too. its mad! i want a winter! i want a frost!
